Community Legal Services (CLS) is dedicated to providing legal assistance, advice or representation, self-help materials and legal education so people can know their rights. We focus on helping survivors of domestic violence; assisting victims of consumer fraud and abuse, protecting tenants from unlawful/unfair practices by landlords, foreclosures, legal problems affecting agricultural workers, wage claims and other employment matters, and federal and state programs affecting peoples’ health and economic stability.

Community Legal Services is a non-profit law firm committed to increasing fairness in the civil justice system by advocating, litigating, and educating on behalf of Arizona’s most underserved communities.
Community Legal Services desires to be Arizona’s leading legal voice for communities in need by protecting rights, increasing fairness and providing access to justice for underserved communities.
We believe that clients and communities are stronger when they understand their legal rights. We want to provide that knowledge, and we are happy to train groups and community partners. If your group or agency wants information or training about a particular civil legal problem or topic or you would like an expert for a media story, please contact the Office of Development and Communications at 602-258-3434 or by email at media@clsaz.org. We will be happy to provide you with a member of our speakers bureau to address your requested topic.
Our community initiatives are new to CLS and will be areas of the community in which we will be forging new partnerships, and opportunities to expand our support and services. First will be our Veteran’s Initiative, where we focus on increasing our ability to meet the critical needs of the men and women who have served this nation. A recent Department of Veterans Affairs survey of homeless veterans found that four of their top ten unmet needs were legal, including areas of eviction, foreclosure and family law. Throughout the year CLS will focus on forming partnerships will local agencies serving veterans in order to help meet these ever-increasing unmet legal needs.
